FOCKING LOSING!

I was the #1 team/seed the ENTIRE season. Best record and most points only to get ASS STOMPED this week by the LOWEST seed to make the playoffs. FOCK fantasy football. It's all a god damn crap shoot.

:dunno: :D

I feel your pain. I too dominated my league this year but ran into MJD, S Jax, Balt D, etc this week. I'm starting to hate HTH leagues. Too much luck involved in 1 game eliminatin playoffs...

Well I was the sixth seed. (first two seeds get bye's). I stumbled into the playoffs losing my last three games. Well I won the wild card round. Beat the #1 seed last week and if LT doesn't go off too bad. I might win it all this week. I am down a few but I have four players left tomorrow.

but I agree. it's so much luck involved also and it's very frustrating.

My league is coming down to the 2 best teams - me and another guy. I went 13-0 and he went 10-3. We're pretty even so far today. It's basically my LT, Denver D, J Walker, Romo, Westbrook............ vs his S Alexander, Shayne Graham, T.O., and Barber.

Gotta like my chances after seeing Walker just had a 39 yarder and LT ripped off a 60 yard run.

Yep, and so is you being the #1 team the ENTIRE season, so what have you to complain about?

What do I have to complain about? Maybe losing Darrell Jackson and Kevin Jones a week before the playoffs and not get any of the $1000 prize pool. Other than that, not much....

you know what i hate? finishing first in the regular season and getting a bye in the first round then proceeding to lay an egg and put up my lowest total last week in the semis and lose. then this week for shits and giggles, in the 3rd place game i put up the highest point total of the year in our league. just spectacular

Pay more attention to playoff matchups and strength of schedules during the season. More often than not, the best team in the league (throughout the regular season) does not end up winning it all. The law of averages argues against it. Most people who roll along with one or 2 losses think their team is so good they dont make any moves and it backfires on them in the playoffs. Do some better long term planning next time and realize there were just as many weeks during the season that you got lucky on as there were weeks you got screwed. Thats why its called luck. If you dont like it, dont play it. Stop whining. Everyone loses sometimes.

Merry Christmas

you know what I hate....

Palmer with 209 yards (1 point away from 210 and another point barrier in my league)

Betts with 129 yards (1 point away from another point barrier)

Driver with 99 yards (1 point away from another point barrier)

Crumpler with 39 yards (1 point away from another point barrier)

Chester with 49 yards ( 1 point away from another point barrier)

5 out of my 7 offensive starters focked me for a yard.... with Owens still left to fock me

heres to the stats that end in 9 !!!!

I most likely will win my championship (up 40 with my two players to his three and no real studs involved) and I was number one in waiver wire moves/add-drops....there is absolutely no denying the benificial advantage of playing matchups with defenses and even QB's at times. Studs are studs but when you are dealing with the mediocre you have to be savvy

Couldn't agree MORE! I just beat (well, 23 points up on, each with 1 player left to play tomorrow, no QB's) the guy that rode McNabb all year, and when the end of the season is here, and McNabb's gone, can't find someone to plug that hole.

I had Manning, but always (each week!) had a Plan B in-case he went down. I had the #2 QB and the #1 WR's (PPR league), but the #6 RB. Despite working on a 11-3 season, I trade my #3 WR (Driver) and a bench RB (Maroney) for FWP. Why? Because if my WR's take a dump in the playoffs, I would have been screwed. Why did MJD sit on my bench most of the year after picking him up in Week 4? Because if Taylor goes down at the end of the year, I've got some depth. Once it was clear I was in the playoffs, my bench was alllllll about the playoffs.

So DJax (#1 WR) goes down and Holt crawls under a rock. Not as big an issue as it could have been, because I had replacements on the bench, and I was always keeping an eye on the WW knowing what moves I'd make if I lost someone. Also, helps to have guys like Dillon and McAllister hanging around that don't rock your world, but are damn consistent.

Am I screwed if my opponent's QB (Vick) goes off for 45 this week? Yep, but you know why he was starting Vick instead of a real QB? Because he never had a plan at QB because McNabb was carrying him to the SB, and Vick was about all that was left. Of course part of it's luck, but that's why it's called fishing and not catching. He's screwed if Holt wakes up and goes off for 35 again.

But all season for me it wasn't a question of not having anyone to plug into a hole, it was more about trying to figure out which 2 of the 3 guys that were all going to give me more points than my opponent that week. Our LT owner lost by 70 (70!!!) in the 1st round for the same reason. Didn't pay enough attention to QB, so figured Rivers would be good enough, and got clipped when he went for like 5. Could have won if he'd played the trades/wires and had better other positions.

Any how, it's probably 70% picks, 30% luck and you'll need both to go far...if it bites you in the ass, so be it...it happened to some guy you beat this year too...it's part of the game.

Man up man...
