MDC 7,833 Posted February 23, 2007 I didn't think I would but I sort of do. Tower was way too expensive but it was the only big record store within easy walking distance of where I work and live. It was also the ONLY record store need my parents in NJ that's not in a mall ... does anybody buy records anymore? I'll buy online but if the price is only a dollar or two more I'd rather have the CD for backup. iTunes is also pretty limited in what they have. Anyone? Or am I the only guy here who still buys music?
[zombie] 0 Posted February 23, 2007 i probably buy more music than the rest of the board combined...and i miss tower records. i used to pop by every tuesday for the new releases. not anymore. (the new releases were always priced very well...and were an extra $1 off on tuesday.) i haven't bought anything new since nearly breaking the bank at their clearance sale. must've picked up 300 discs over those few weeks. ...still picking up some used stuff occasionally, and i've got a huge list of new stuff i'll be ordering soon. also: lala.com. Foamfinger 0 Posted February 23, 2007 The original Tower Records and a Tower books were located three blocks from my house. It was nice to bounce down and pick up some tunes or a book whenever the mood hit. Now? It is the suck.
