Queso Viejo 0 Posted March 21, 2007 I'm in a 12 team dynasty league where we start 3WR/1TE, no flex spot. The starters and backups on my team: WR S. Smith CAR D. Jackson SEA A. Boldin PHO B. Edwards CLE M. Jenkins ATL R. Curry OAK TE L. Smith PHI M. Lewis JAC The offer I have right now is Vernon Davis for Braylon Edwards. I really think Davis has the ability to be a gamebreaker at TE and would be my starter pretty quickly. Edwards has the talent, but I hate his attitude and his situation in Cleveland. The deal would leave me pretty thin at WR, which is a concern since my other three WR's have a significant injury history. I have the 11th overall pick in our rookie draft, so I'd be looking at the second tier of rookie WR's such as Robert Meachem or Jason Hill. My team is really built to win now with my RB's being S. Alexander and Stephen Jackson, but I think if Vernon Davis has the breakout year I'm expecting, he could help put me over the top. Do the trade or not? Leave a link and I'll answer yours. Well, my opinion is, there is not a TE around that is a big enough difference maker to put someone over the top. However, you're right about Braylen Edwards. if he performs, he will become more and more Like TO in terms of his behavior. I often draft players based on talent, but keep them based on likability, stability, and production combined. Edwards has all the talent in the world, and if they get a good QB in cleveland, he may be the WR you are looking for. However, I think the trade is fair in value, so what it comes down to is what player do you like better???
jacarter 0 Posted March 22, 2007 I would make the trade. I look for Davis to really breakout this year. 2nd year in, learning the nuances of the next level, more work w/ Smith, and the Niners look to be on the upswing. I also really like your core group of wr's w/ smith, jax, and boldin. Losing Edwards would not be that big of a hit to your squad, IMO.
Riddlen 1 Posted March 23, 2007 ehhhh, I wouldnt. You are pretty solid at WR right now, how much better are you actually getting.
Enoch 1 Posted March 25, 2007 How do the top TEs now rank with the WRs in your league? Is Gates top 10 with the WRs? Plus how did TG & the others rank with them. I thinking go for the TE but LJ Smith wasn't bad
