Guest tiki_gods Posted May 28, 2007 I think the real reason poor people are fat is that fast food is sometimes cheaper but always faster. If you're working multiple low wage jobs and going home to a big family you have to feed, it's a lot easier to buy a family bucket of KFC than to cook a huge meal. Part of it also is that poor people just make poor choices about what they eat and generally don't take care of their health. Agreed. Add poor diet because of lack of money, less education, and lack of motivation. I just watched the movie Supersize Me and it was pretty interesting to see how his energy level slowed down to increase of fat and hollow calorie diet. Peak and crash from sugars and carbohydrate diet. The sad thing about this whole dilemma, they (fatties) start to cost the American tax payer when their fat asses end up in the emergency rooms or hospitals from lack of medical insurance.
