Crankscore Calculator

You can use the calculator (set for your league settings I might add :dunno:) and it will show roughly the same thing as his cheatsheets.

Lol. It's been an amazingly useful tool for me at least. It's always nice to be able to pit CJ against his arch nemesis TJ Houshmandzadeh, and note how much more consistent TJ was. He kicked the pants off of CJ last year as a consistent producer. Crank scores have a tendency to reveal data that doesn't necessarily jump out at you while you experience the season (it's easy to be wowed by CJ's one huge game and miss the fact that he was totally outplayed in the average game, for instance), and certainly have a lot more to tell us than a FFPt total alone does. Maybe later I'll get into the profound edge a consistent player has over an inconsistent one, even at identical production levels on the year - but for now suffice it to say that the consistent guys are better to have even from a statistical standpoint, and so I am very happy to have an easy-to-use tool to crunch out all the math, it's a big time saver.

Mike MacGregor deserves the credit. He designed this for FFToday. Gotta say, this guy deserves a lot of credit for several fantasy football innovations from an application standpoint.

He was the first to develop a tool like the Compiler/Draft Buddy in fantasy football. There are several imitators on the market, but Mike was the first.

He was the first to use the "My(Insert the site name)" feature where you get customized stats online for your league. While I have tremendous respect for the FBG's website, I laugh when I hear the reverent response from the some of the FBGs masses when the staff announces their wonderful new MyFBG's function. It sounds so innovative and revolutionary, but we've had it at FFToday for 2 years and free to use.

Glad you like the Crank Score Calculator. It's nice to use, becuase I developed the formula off an Access database and though I still update stats for my own database (it has several more functions than crank scores) each year, I like being able to plug in my own league rules to the site and have a quick way to generate the consistency data. Big thumbs up to Mike MacGregor for doing this

Oh, thanks! Now where is the :blushing: smilie? I guess you'll have to settle for a Mr. T

Is this the 3rd year of MyFFT or the 4th? My memory is terrible.
