Kelvarr 13 Posted July 23, 2007 These were the core of my team last year. I guess you could throw McNabb in there also, but I've soured on him a bit because of the injury, and no WR in Philly. I was thinking about Vick (Put up top 5 numbers in our league last year), but with the whole dog thing going on. I know Bush is a popular keeper also, but then I look at Ronnie Brown and I scratch my head. KEEP ONE. Thanks.
WoodDuck2003 0 Posted July 23, 2007 I really think it depends on a lot. Do you give up a draft pick? If so which round? I am going to assume everyone has to keep 1 player and no rounds given up. In this case I think you have to go with the player who will produce the most points and has the least amount of risk. That player is R.Brown. Thanks for seeing mine. Stewburtx8 67 Posted July 23, 2007 If everyone keeps one guy and then you draft from there, my answer all depends on whether this is a PPR league or not. If it's a PPR league then I'd definitely keep Bush. Bush could get 90 catches this year, which should be 30-40 more than Ronnie Brown, who does catch pretty many himself. Bush is soo verstatile in that offense and I think he gets double digit TD's in a variety ways, that should be equal or more than Brown. I think the 30-40 more points from catches easily make up in the difference in rushing+receiving yards between the two. If it's not a PPR league then I lean towards Brown, but still might keep Bush because of his better long term value and slight downgrade, if any, this year. Kelvarr 13 Posted July 24, 2007 No PPR (if PPR is Point Per Reception). 1 pt/5yds rush, 6 pts/TD, 1 pt/5yds rec.
Kelvarr 13 Posted July 26, 2007 So Vick is definitely out...it seems the consensus (from reading other sources) is either Bush or Brown. People here say Brown. Is Brown that much better than Bush?
Stewburtx8 67 Posted July 26, 2007 So Vick is definitely out...it seems the consensus (from reading other sources) is either Bush or Brown. People here say Brown. Is Brown that much better than Bush? No he's not. I could see Brown with about 1600 total yards and 9 TD's and Reggie Bush with about 1500 total yards and 11 TD's. So using your scoring system Brown outscores him by a couple points. BUT Reggie Bush is younger and has a ton more upside, not only for this year, but for the future. I think you'd be foolish to let a long term keeper like Bush go for a guy thats MAYBE slightly better this year and not a top 10 back kind of guy this year either.
