Big Blue 06 195 Posted August 2, 2007 A-Rod grounds out, but I don't really care that much as long as the Yankees keep winning.

Unfortunately, the Red Sox won as well, so it is not worth quite as much as they hoped. Should be interesting the rest of the way.

The Yanks are doing what they are supposed to do right now. After this stretch is done in the next 5-6 days, they go on a stretch of tougher games. Let's see what happens after that point. I don't like the (non) moves that the Yanks made. Their bullpen is suspect and they have a bunch of older guys. I would have expected them to make another Abreu-type deal. They are indeed doing what they are supposed to be doing here by beating all of the lousy teams. They have a tough stretch from the 10th to the 30th, but until then, they need to keep piling up the wins.

I'm not sure the Yanks could have made any impact moves without giving up one of their big arms in the minors. Texas wouldn't budge on Gagne unless they got Chamberlain, Hughes, or Melky. I'm glad Cashman stuck to his guns and didnt give up any of those guys.
