Mike Damone 14 Posted August 21, 2007 I can't make up my mind on this one. I would appreciate any/all responses. Should I keep Ronnie Brown as my RB#2 and pick up another RB in the 1st round? The best available backs will be (in no particular order) Gore, Westbrook, Edge, FWP, Maroney, Rudi. I pick 6th so I'm guaranteed one of those guys. Or do I keep CJ? Who is projected to be the top scoring WR based on our league's scoring system. I would still be able to get one of the above mentioned backs in the 1st round and maybe pick up a Julius Jones or a Clinton Portis in the 2nd. My problem is that I don't trust Ronnie Brown to produce like he should. But different coach, different system....maybe this is his year.

I keep Chad based on what you other guys will be out there for your pick. Brown is a low #1 / hight #2. All those guys you listed above are better than Brown is. YesNoMaybe 0 Posted August 21, 2007 I agree...if you are guarenteed one of those backs...keep ocho cinqo and look for a #2 RB in round 2 see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=280905

gocolts 300 Posted August 21, 2007 I think Brown will have a nice year, BUT I would keep CJ and get one of those backs in the first round. I would rank those RBs as follows: Gore Rudi FWP Edge Westbrook Maroney
Mike Damone 14 Posted August 21, 2007 Id keep Cj over Brown i dont trust R.Brown! I don't trust him either. But I know if I don't keep him he'll have a breakout 1500yd 17 td season.

Stewburtx8 67 Posted August 21, 2007 What is your scoring system? If its not ppr then don't waste your time with receivers early. You can grab similar ones in later rounds. I'd keep Brown and draft one of the 6 guys you mentioned and have a solid RB combo, which is where your scoring consistency comes from. Look at CJ last year...the guys final numbers were great...but he put up a majority of those over a 5 week span, early in the season he was awful.

I've kind of always prided myself on my ability to get talent at WR in later rounds but WR's don't win championships. I know about CJ last year. The guy who traded him to me was trying for weeks to get me to give him LaMont Jordan. I wound up trading him Jordan and Reggie Wayne for CJ, Laveraneous Coles and Desmond Clark the week before CJ's breakout game.

What backs are you looking at on the turn in the 2nd? and what WRs will be there? Obvioulsy the backs you mentioned are better then Brown but what are you going to have to compliment your #1. You are essentially going to get edge if you pick 6th, so is that really an upgrade over brown? James. CJ and JJones??? or Brown, James, and Best WR available. I dont know, tough call but id lean towards keeping brown.

Of the RB's listed I like all of them better than Brown this year, aside from Edge. Go w/ Johnson and pick up the best RB available starting in this order: Gore, FWP, Westbrook, Maroney, and Rudi. Cylon Patrol 0 Posted August 22, 2007 If you are fairly certain you can get J Jones or Portis, I'd definitely hang onto 85.
