Big4Jerm3 0 Posted August 22, 2007 I would try and add another QB. (Pennington?) I do see you hitting the 5pt bonus quite often with Addai and Holt. Thanks for replying to my topic. Take it easy
e13169 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Thanks for your advice. I will check the Qb waiver wire after the first 2 weeks and possibly pick up a different backup. Anyone else?
Big4Jerm3 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Oh and if you don't mind me asking, why Miami DEF? Was that your last pick?
spyglass 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Honestly, your team feels a little weak at WR, I don't think I would be worried about QB. You seem to have done a good job at stockpiling that positiion though, so hopefully there are a couple of gems in there. Your just going to have to be quick on the waiver wire after the first couple of weeks. Be sure you don't do what I do and become emotionally attached to your players. My topic: my question
e13169 0 Posted August 22, 2007 Oh and if you don't mind me asking, why Miami DEF? Was that your last pick? It was a 16 round draft, I picked them in round #11, the kicker was my last pick. I had Miami's defense rated in my top 5 (after Chi, Bal, NE, SD) We get turnover bonuses, def Td 6 pts, special teams Td 6 pts. Miami has a pretty good Defense, that should get a little better with the addition of Joey Porter. Their return game should see a vast improvement with Ted Ginn Jr.
chinombre 2 Posted August 22, 2007 I think this team is pretty solid. Nice depth at RB/WR. Just need to hope that Rivers takes it up another notch this year. Try to find a different backup besides McNair.
mrgymrat 0 Posted August 22, 2007 I'm not a big McNair fan either so I would say get a different backup. Also maybe package a couple of your lower tier rbs or wrs and see if you can get a solid #2 RB or WR. I like Muhammad but he did nothing for me when I had him in the past. Not a big Edwards fan although if Quinn is QB maybe that would help. Can you package Turner w/ either Jordan or T Jones to the LT owner and get a more solid RB? Or are you hoping the jinx will take down LT and then you'll have a #1 RB in Turner? Good luck, a little tweaking is all you need. ---- Thx for answeing my Brandon Jackson question already

RBs are good 1-4 #5 is ehhhh but like has been said maybe you can package him to the LT owner. Id see if upgrade at the #4WR is an option too, Im not sold on Jenning or Clark or Muhammad but I do like the upside of Marshall. Thanks for my response. Poloc2289 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Thanks for helping with mine... As for your team, it's pretty solid. No true weaknesses. I actually think the most glaring one though is your lack of WR depth. If Holt or Boldin go down, you're in trouble. There's not much you could do about that however and you'll just need to ride it out. Good luck
nobody 2,782 Posted August 23, 2007 Your team is solid, but I do think you will be disappointed in the Miami D. Last year they looked old and slow. They haven't really gotten all that younger.

I agree with your opinion about my WR depth, if I'm hurting there, maybe package a backup RB for a WR?

Thanks for your opinion. If Miami's D lets me down, I'll try to p/u a free agaent D, every year there is always 1 or 2 Def that come out of nowhere to perform well. Drizink43 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Thanks for the imput, The QB is a little weak but the rest looks damn good...I especially like the Def, Miami is a sleeper D in my opinion, look for alot of Turnovers!!!!
redwolf 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Thanks for the imput, The QB is a little weak but the rest looks damn good...I especially like the Def, Miami is a sleeper D in my opinion, look for alot of Turnovers!!!! i think you're a little thin at WR and i would not be ready for Rivers as my starting QB. I don't think you have enough value on your bench to entice a trade unless someone really wants marshall or turner. otherwise just stand pat and see what happens. maybe catch a rook on the way up and that would help. you'll be fine but i don't know about winning your league.... thanks for mine
