SnapHook42 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Good team, except for Rex - I might have stuck with Eli there. Did you trade him? Is it 4 pts for pass TD or 6? Getting Westy at 17 was a steal, and your starting WR are gold. Overall B+, if Alexander has the big comeback year you could win it all. BearsFan69 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Evryone always hates on Rexy but im a huge bears fan and i feel he is going to be a top 5 QB this year, Last year was not that bad of a season, i mean in his first full season as a starter he defintly contributed to getting the bears to the superbowl. Ima stick with my gut but i did get a very solid backup in case something goes wrong. I cant beleive that i got Alexander with pick 8, Evryone thinks that last year is so bad....HE WAS CURSED BY MADDEN COVER!!!!.....I think he going to put up big numbers again....I mean LT numbers.... We play 6 points Passing td and 1 point for evry 30 yards. I just droped Reggie Williams for Demetrius Williams
FreddieMercury 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Thanks for answering mine. Your WR's are great, and your RB's are solid. You've also got one of the best TE's, and I don't play IDP so I won't speak to that. But you've gotta lose the homer love for Rex. If you think he's going to shock the world this year, that's cool, but get someone ahead of him and sit him on your bench until he proves it. You've got plenty of WR depth, so you could probably use that to get someone solid like Alex Smith or Delhomme.
thebook 1 Posted September 3, 2007 I love your RBs and WRs for a 12-team draft. I still like Grossman's potential but I would still want a nice back-up QB in case he implodes. Could happen. Otherwise, very strong and a likely contender. Please Help Here
BearsFan69 0 Posted September 3, 2007 I dont think rex has that much to prove, trust me their aint that much hommer love for rex, evryone dogs him.....but he my guy and stickin wit him....the way i see it is if im wrong and he becomes bust eli a good backup... I still cant belive that Alexander fell to number 8 and steve smith to number 3, T.O.,Marvin,and chad all went in front of him......id take smith in the thrid instead of one of them in the first or second....And then ad Fitz right behind...i was stoked
hooflungpoo 0 Posted September 3, 2007 nice team...i think you'll do fine this year i, too, think rex will be ok, especially if his wr can stay healthy and olsen makes a rookie splash.

Smirk 0 Posted September 3, 2007 I like your team actually. Getting Westbrook at 17 is amazing...who the heck do you play with that let him slip that far? After Westbrook and Alexander you are really thin at RB...you're going to need hope they both stay healthy and work the Waiver Wire for guys who come out of nowhere. If they both stay healthy, you have a playoff caliber team. The problem with the ridiculous 5th round Grossman pick (sorry) is not that you picked him (he actually could have a really great year, I toyed with picking him several times)...its where you picked him. Unless you're playing in a complete Bears homer league, Grossman shouldn't be picked in almost any league until you get past the 10th round (he wasn't picked in my league). You more than likely could have gotten some decent depth at RB (I'd like to know who was on that board at that time) and picked Rex a few rounds later. Homerism has no place in FF. Only being completely objective will get you the wins. You may like Rex a lot, and have your heart set on him. If thats the case, you have to ask yourself: do I think he will be around for my next pick? You only reach for a player if you don't think he's going to be around for your next pick. And Rexy SHOULD have been there much later, and if he wasn't, then a QB who SHOULDN'T have been there will be. Remember when drafting, its not always about how you think the guy is going to finish, it is about value and picking the player you think will do well in the appropriate spot. Anyway, a link to my RMT thread: (which you already responded to) http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...13&t=283733
BearsFan69 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Thx for your post, that was very well thought out and taken to heart....The problom is tho it is an all hommer draft and qb's go fast...i was kickin myself for not selecting another RB and waiting another round, but he was the guy that i wanted no matter what so i took the chance. But im trying to trade Gonzo and Pittman for Jacobs and cooley but i dont think he will pull trigger on that...
rottytiny 7 Posted September 3, 2007 WRs and RBs look good for a 12 teamer. Can't really tell you about the IDP's, I don't play in any IDP leagues so my opinion would be useless. Rex will have probably be like last year, some good/great games amd some bad/terrible games, the rest of your offensive players will need to be solid the weeks he tanks, overall looks good. Good luck.
Savior57 0 Posted September 3, 2007 You're not going to love this, but I though Betts was your best value pick. It sure looks like Portis will be hurts more than he plays last year and Betts was incredibile once he was out last year. (in one of my leagues, he even finished as the #10 RB. I would sa`y your team is very solid except for QB. I would even go so far as to suggest you try to find a giants or Bears fan in your league and try to swing a trade, b/c that could be your downfall if Grossman keeps up his inconsistency and things go South in Giant-land the way I think they will. If you solve the QB issue, it could mean "Championship" for you! Thanks for seeing mine!
