duece2626 0 Posted September 4, 2007 Evans is becoming a "never bench" player regardless of the matchup, imo. The way JP locks in on him every game, he's good for at least 12-15 targets per game. I've never been overly impressed by DJax anyway, plus he's a bit banged up currently. Thanks for the reply!
ric0 23 Posted September 4, 2007 i'd go with evans. pls respond to my question.
HenryChinaski 1 Posted September 4, 2007 Lee Evans vs Denver at home or Darrell Jackson vs Arizona on Monday Night. Please help. Leave a link and will answer yours. Thanks for the response to my question. Your decision is tough. It appears easy.. But Evans against Denver is kind of scary. I would be tempted to start DJax, but the thing is - you can't sit your studs. I think that Denver will probably leave Evans in 1 on 1 coverage alot, even though it's Champ Bailey, I think that Evans will beat him once or twice - and that is all it takes. Evans has really progressed to an all around WR now, he isn't just a deep threat. The guy can get it done, and Losman has the deep ball to get it to him. San Fran will probably try to control the ball on the ground with Gore against Arizona. Arizona's run defense is pretty questionable, so I would imagine SanFran playing ball control to win the game. I would imagine that they would want Leinart/Fitz/Boldin and Co. on the field the least amount of time possible. Lee Evans.
mec411 0 Posted September 4, 2007 Lee Evans vs Denver at home or Darrell Jackson vs Arizona on Monday Night. Please help. Leave a link and will answer yours. Though I am not one to usually play matchups, I would, like I told another poster about Evans, be wary about the Bills schedule. Evans is going up against 8 top flight D's in the first 11 weeks. This is not to say that I wouldnt take him, I would in a second, but just keep an eye on him. I would also start Jackson to see how he does against a weaker D. If nothing, then go to Evans. See my signature for my link, thanks.
Savior57 0 Posted September 4, 2007 Don't overthink think one. Evans is a top 15 WR. DJax (and I'm a fan of his) is MAYBE a top 25-30 ,considering he's in a new offense and is injury prone. Go with the best player. Especially since we don't really know a ton about who's great and who isn't in week one. (Remember that the Saints and niners were supposed to be horrible last year and the Steelers looked to have a great chance to repeat as Champs.) Thanks for helping with mine. Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted September 4, 2007 I'm a big fan of Lee Evans this year, and it starts with Week 1. Even if Buffalo falls behind early, I like Evans to get lots of looks regardless, with the possibility of a garbage-time TD to soak the stats. If Buffalo goes up early, it will be because of Evans anyway. I agree with Henry in that the Niners will probably run the ball a lot against Arizona. This Niners fan is suggesting you start Evans.
