RB2 Help

  1. 1. Who should I start at RB2 -- PPR, standard scoring, and Bush already burned me with a measly 8 points on Thursday.

    • Lamont Jordan (v Detroit)
      12
    • Deshaun Foster (@ St Louis)
      6
    • Julius Jones (v New York Giants)
      2

Not sure who to go with for my RB2 in my PPR, standard scoring. Already got burnt by Bush on Thursday, with a lackluster performance, so I need to play catch up already. I'll reserve my thoughts on the matchups until I get some input. Love any votes, and would really appreciate further feedback as to WHY. Leave me a link too, I'll go to yours.

I hit Jones, but then I saw you get points for receptions. That will change my answer to Deshaun Foster. Foster is going to excell in the new system. He'll lose carries to Williams no doubt, but with his speed and the ability to get around defenders. Foster will also be the goal line back.

I really like Jones this year, but Foster is a great start vs the terrible Rams run D.

Good luck

check mine if you would....thanks.

I think Jones is your best bet, granted barber is a td vulture but he still has the best opportunity for a good game. I do not like foster at all and until he proves me otherwise I think he will suck all year if he even stays healthy. Jordan could do well considering its the lions but who knows... I say JJ

I like Jordan. Foster has been named the starter but Williams is going to take carries. Jones, is also attractive but MBIII will get carries and for sure around the goal line. Jordan is the starter, will not be sharing the load and DET is terrible against the run! He should at least get as many ff points as the other two and is the only one in my opinion that has a chance to have a big day which will help you out of your hole. Jordan should be a lock for 85 yds and 1 score with the potential for a 100 yd game and maybe 2 TDs against that terrible DET defense!

Hope this helps and please see mine.

I like LaMont. Nice matchup, has something to prove, will have more touches than the other two.

Thanks for mine.

I like Lamont as well. Jones is good but opening night with an in conference game, I think the Giants Defense shows up. Foster could be good, and should be good....but I have convinced myself of that the last two years and regretted it, hes gonna have to prove it to me in the regular season.

I say Jordon. He is the only one that won't share carries.

Also for most teams, those without a strong passing game will have a hard time running it as the opposing D will anticipate it. But considering that the Lions D is a bag of poo, this won't be a problem.

Start Lamont and he'll do you good.

Tough call. My default position is that if I'm playing against him, he will go off. But I am not facing any of the three. I would rate them as follows:

1. LaMont Jordan

2. Deshaun Foster

3. Julius Jones

Jordan has a nice matchup against the Lions' D, plus he wants to assert himself so he will continue to be THE MAN after Rhodes gets back. I expect LaMont to get plenty of touches, as Oakland will want to control the ball to keep the Lions' offense off the field. Foster is a close second, but DeAngelo Williams' presence scares me somewhat. You know Foster will lose touches to Williams, you just don't know how many. It's too early to tell how the new Dallas regime will use JJ, but I'd be leery of starting the guy whose backup (MBIII) led the NFC in TDs last season when you have a clear-cut #1 RB available.

Just one man's opinion.

This is the first time ive really seen the Lamont love come back. He could be a viable choice due to his matchups, and mccown dumpin off the ball when his WR can't get open. but theres also about a 50 percent chance of him being terrible. The safe choice would be Foster, but if youre lookin for a little fun, go with LaMont (who i am benching)

Lamont love??..lol.

The only guys who could show love for Lamont obviously didn't suffer through last year with him as their #1 pick!

Had a chance on him again this year and chose Deshaun over him late. I, for one, was not going to potentially waste a pick, no matter how low, on Lamont.

I really do hope he does well and proves all the nay-sayers wrong.

All that being said, I would wait and see how does this week and throw Foster in there. He is out to prove he should be the back in Carolina and the Rams def is very soft against the run. Additionally, if he doesn't do too well, he may not get many more starts, making him a wasted pick this year.

Hope I didn't confuse anyone too much! :pointstosky:
