wiffleball 4,679 Posted September 10, 2007 Don't get me wrong, I love opening weekend. Was my best Sunday in about 200 days. Yet, dayum, was there some sloppy-axx play going on all over the league. Botched snaps, missed kicks, handoffs to - nobody's there, lead hands, wrong routes - all kinds of stupid stuff. I dunno if it's just me, but it seems like there was noticably more than in prior years. I'm guessing it's because the starters don't get as much play in the preseason as they used to. You can get all the reps you want in practice, but game time is a whole 'nother story. - As evidenced by the sloppy play yesterday. Again, don't get me wrong - it still rocked, but I have a feeling there were quite a few coaches going yesterday. Could be a liiiitttle tense in flim study this week.
