I think rap music is gutter trash. It is the lowest common denominator of society and panders to the worst elements. To be blunt I do not think it has any merits whatsoever. I think it sounds awful, I'd as soon scratch my fingernails on a chalkboard, but 50 cent has great videos if you can click the mute button fast enough. Scantily clad chicks slinking around seductivly has merits -even ones dumb enough to listen to his music. Kanye West, heres another guy I don't know the first thing about and his music probably causes nauxsia to listen to it, but I became a fan when he said those dumb stoopid things about Bush after Hurricane Katrina on national TV. I didn't want to post in this thread since I loathe rap music or hiphop or whatever. Shiite/Sunni same difference. I just want it to move to page two and die so I don't have to be reminded that crap music exists. But seeing as it's #1 anyways I'm not giving it a bump by typing my insights in this response. Better than another political nutjob, I guess. There is only one rap song that I enjoy. It is called "A Bay Bay" and I like it because it tells a story without resorting to vulgarity or misogyny.
