the_future420 3 Posted September 18, 2007 And by fair, I mean reasonable. I would be giving up on Boldin + Jordan and getting Westy. Do you think the Westy owner would go for it or is this deal laughable?

I assume you're talking about Lamont Jordan? Currently ranked #4 RB in my league, why would you want to trade for Westbrook at this point? I think that is a fair deal, but I don't think Westbrook is all that great right now, currently ranked 12th in my league. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=288564

My league is more partial to RBs who can catch out of the backfield with 1 ppr. It's a combination of selling high on Jordan (even though he may produce consistently throughout the year) and Stud RB theory. If I were to pull this trade off, my RB's would be LJ, Henry and Westbrook. All players who were top 10 on my big board preseason.

Like you said, you'd be 'selling high' with Jordan - he can't keep this up. Meanwhile, Westbrook is putting up decent numbers without having scored yet - you gotta think he'll start finding the endzone soon.

If I did this trade, my WR depth is decent, but I have no WR#1s on my team: Edwards Marshall Clayton Welker J. Jones Obviously not a sterling group of receivers, but with LJ, Henry, Westbrook, Gates and Bulger, they should be adequate enough right?
gocolts 300 Posted September 18, 2007 I would do it. Rhodes will be back for the Raiders soon and who knows what will happen after his return. Westy is a stud in PPR leagues.
hooflungpoo 0 Posted September 18, 2007 i would send that. westy gets enough points receiving just about to compensate for boldin's production each week. i think jordan will hit a wall soon, and with mcnabb not passing well by any means, westy is all they have offensively. the_future420 3 Posted September 18, 2007 The more I think about it, maybe I'm giving up too much? Any other insight?
vicksdawgs 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Westbrook strained his knee and I don't think he's ever made it through a whole year. If you have a good RB3 you can but don't rest your season on him; you will need insurance.
