University of Michigan will win the Big 10

Recommended Posts

I believe he would leave LSU because, as he said previously, Michigan is his dream job. Why did Nick Saban leave LSU? Granted, Miami probably wasnt Saban's dream job, but he left perhaps several national championships on the table. The rumors about Miles were coming from insiders at LSU. Also, last time I checked, Michigan is not a bad head coaching job to have. I agree with you that hiring someone in house would be a very unwise idea, Les Miles has proven to be an innovative coah. During last weeks game, he faked a FG and tossed the ball to the kicker who ran it in for a TD. That is something you would never see out of a coach at Michigan. Also, Bill Cowher is known as a ball control pound the rock head coach, which would be the same exact thing as we have had for years.

Either Purdue or Michigan will win the big ten.

Michigan is good against typical "power" formations like I form or singleback, but they struggle mightly against the spread offense. Not a lot of teams play the spread well in the Big Ten-- except Purdue.

Purdue's offense is one of the best in the country. Curtis Painter has 16 tds and 1 int. As long as their defense can play somewhat decently, I think they win the big ten.

I am a student at Purdue, and the nation will see what what we have in 2 weeks when we play host to Ohio State in a night game on ABC. Both teams will be undefeated and Purdue will slaughter them.

I don't think they get through Michigan, PSU, or OSU unscathed though.

They do have a good offense, that is for sure.

And no...I don't think Purdue will slaughter any of the top teams in the Big 10 even.

First of all, Nick Saban is the Larry Brown of football so that is no comparison. Les Miles IS pretty much an in-house candidate. He coached with Lloyd for 7 years, and played under Bo. It's not just about playing style, we need some fresh blood. An outsider, if you will. I think Bill Cowher would be perfect. Things would be completely different because you would have an NFL winning coach coming in, instead of something stale. Cowher IS midwestern football. Think about it - Bill Cowher roaming the sidelines at Michigan Stadium - Can you imagine!

Why would Les Miles leave LSU. Because it is much easier to win National Championship in Big 10 then it is to win in the SEC. You just have to beat one team if you are any good at all. That is why OSU got crushed last year. Cake walk to Nat Champ game with no competition.

I hope he does go to Michigan. I think he is winning with Saban's left overs right now and it would just continue Mich bad play into the future.

I then expect to see the Ole Ball Coach at LSU. Did you see his press conference this week. It was as good as an interview.

Easier to win a National Championship in the Big Ten?? :wall: How many Big Ten teams have won national championships in the last 10 seasons? Not many. If you mean conference championships, then yes. But LSU has been in the National title conversation several years that I can remember.
