LT trade please advise

Recommended Posts

I am in a PPR league and have been offered LT for Lamont Jordan and Marvin Harrison. If I make the trade it would leave me with Reggie Wayne, (sorry) Lee Evans, (sorry) Reggie Brown, Greg Jennings, James Jones (GB), Patrick Crayton. My backfield would consist of LT, Joseph Addai, and Marshawn Lych. We start 2 RB's 3 WR's and a flex (rb or wr). My gut says pull the trigger but I will be relying on Evans and Brown in a PPR league along with the others OUCH. What are your thoughts.

Seriously do it now. But try to get a 2nd wr out of it. It looks like the LT owner is giving up on him Rhodes is comming back and two Colts Wr. wont do you any good. LT will be LT. He started out slower than usual this year. I know this makes you weak in Wr but very very strong in rb. Rbs have more consitancy than wrs do . IE Steve Smith one catch 10 yeard in week 3.

Man you guys on this board have no clue. Rhodes was only signed as insurance in case Jordan went down. He will get 3-5 carries a game to spell Jordan that is it. I don't like the trade. Jordan will out produce LT plus your giving up Harrison. The days of LT the dominant are over!!!

Really? Don't think so. He's been THE most consistent FF RB since he came into the league and that will continue for a few more years. Will he always be the #1 FF RB, no...last year was his 1st as the #1 FF RB. But, he will continue to be top 5 for a few more years to come. HTH

Boy, I think I'd do that trade and yes... trying to eke another WR out of him.

You're "good" with Wayne. I think Reggie Brown may start to pick up after the air-raid which suddenly will see Curtis draw a little more attention. Crayton is okay. JJ is okay, but you already have Jennings (who hopefully can keep healthy).

I'd see if you could sneak another receiver body out of him just for depth.

I think I'd do it, unlike the other poster, I do think Rhodes will eat into his carries, plus the Raiders havent gotten to the hard part of their schedule yet. Definitely try to get another WR as well. If you have to, make it a 3 for 2 and throw in the potential of Evans as the third and try and get a good WR with LT.

Do this trade ASAFP. Are you kidding, any team with LT and JA is destined to take a run at the league title. And you still have decent WRs.

Whoever said Lamont will match LT is smoking too much you know what.

Do it. ......Do it.

PS Then look at the possibility of putting Marshawn on the block after his huge game this weekend for another WR.

get LT if you can. He scored 28 TDs in 12 games last year and though his production yardage-wise is down, his receptions and TDs are right there so far.

If you watched the 21 yd receiving TD last weekend at GB, you shoul dhave been extremely impressed at how he missed 1 tackle, than lept over a 2nd, and slipped the 3rd as the guy was diving at his knees. I just watched that game on NFL replay again and that was one of the most impressive runs I've seen this year - LT hasn't lost a thing.

Jordan is on a roll and I have him in one league - I love his play, but Rhodes will get carries, even if not an even split. Jordan's team isn't great, their schedule is tough and Jordan's got an iffy back. Harrison+Jordan is a bit steep - I'd counter to see if he'll take a lesser WR in the deal. I think it's fair as is, but you should alwasy try to counter for a little less - all he can say is no. You have on your side the fact that Jordan has been much more valuable to date than LT, and obviously your potential trade partner recognizes this or he wouldn't be offering it.

And since you have Wayne I can say he;'s not "sorry" even if his production's been down so far. Wayne is a stud and may well outperform Harrison this year.

So try a counter for a WR+Jordan and see if he bites, but if you have a chance to get LT for your 2nd and 5th rounders, it's a fair deal as-is. Goo luck. :first:

So you went Colts first three rounds...

Seriously, LT and Addai and you will have some serious potential for firepower; And as much as I think DRhodes is a complete scrub, I don't think the Raiders paid him that much money to come nab 3-4 carries a game...

there are two extremely dumb comments in this thread that stand out more than a couple other dumb ones.

1)" Jordan will outproduce LT". based on what? 3 games? 3 motherf****ng games? go ahead and get jordan. I'll take LT and see who finishes where from here on out. I guarantee you even if LT sat out the first 3 games he will still end up with more points. Jordan is on a piss poor team and played even worse competition to start the season. Sorry LT couldn't give you 40 pts against the Bears, Patriots and a VERY under rated Packers defense. Great Jordan produced nice numbers against the Lions, Browns and a VERY over rated Broncos defense.

2) "having 2 Colts WR's won't do you any good". if there is a WR tandem that I would start week in a week out it's these two. Great team, Great offense, Great QB, Great division, Great players.......period. They are both guarenteed to get theirs week in and week out. sure one of the might explode while the other one shines in one game. But how is that any different than any other WR (IE S. Smith 45 points to 2 in one game). Bottom line is you try and compose the best team possible. Wayne and Harrison are both top 5 WR's. so why not have them both?

would you do Peyton for LT straight up. Non PPR, TD heavy league. 1 pt for 20 rushing/receiving, 1 pt for 50 passing. 5 pts passing td...

My rbs currently are ahman, TJones, Lendale/CBrown, JJones, Fred Taylor. I have plax and Wayne as receivers. Would have to start Alex Smith if Peyton is gone. 14 team 15 roster spots, not a whole lot of gems floating around on WW...
