Who to start at Flex - Edge, Welker, Dayne

Recommended Posts

Alright, so normally I have Edge as my 2nd RB and Marshawn Lynch as my Flex position but this week I am replacing Edge with Lynch at RB2 because Edge has the difficult task of going against the Pit defense. But now who do I start at flex:

Edge vs Pit - he still is a starting RB so he has value

Welker vs Cin - this will be a shootout

Dayne vs Atl - Atl cant stop anyone on the ground so Dayne could have a big game with Green out

Any suggestions?? Post a link and I will answer yours.

Thanks for mine. I'd probably lean toward Edge. He should get at least 15-20 carries. Dayne could be okay, but I think it's an RBBC situation between Green, Dayne, and perhaps even Gado could get a few carries. So, I'd probably give the edge to Edge. If you get PPR, then Welker may be a good play. Generally, I like RB better than WR at flex, because their numbers seem to be more consistent. However, not much consistency when their is a QB controversy brewing in AZ and Warner doing better with the hurry up offense. And not much consistency with an injury plagued RBBC in Houston.

Wait until Sunday before game time to decide. If Green is out, go with Dayne. If Green plays, then go with Edge.

I like Welker in a shootout against Cinci. An already bad Cinci secondary will focus ALL there attention on Moss (which probably won't make a difference anyway) but Brady likes to spread the ball around and I expect Wes to be like a 7-11, open all day

Sorry for not responding sooner - I had given up on anyone answering mine.

I think I would go with Edge, simply because he is the only RB in that offence that is going to get any carries. Although, I will be playing Dayne, you have a more sure option. As far as Welker, he will get several catches, but I don't think he is going to be a great TD option. I think by the end of the season, he will have 5-7 receiving TD's.

Thanks for mine again!
