Beaumont came in as the 83rd most dangerous city, an improvement over last year's 71st-place ranking, according to the 14th Annual City Crime Rankings.

 

The rankings, which were released late Sunday, listed the 378 most dangerous cities in the United States with populations of 75,000 and higher.

 

In Texas, Beaumont was ranked the fourth most dangerous city, behind Dallas, which was first, and Houston, which was third.

Damn. How the hell is THAT? Houston has like 4.5 million people. Beumont? 110,000 on a good day. And to be one spot behind H-town? In a state with some of the most violent border towns in the entire country?
