Sho Nuff 720 Posted March 25, 2008 I always love all the hate for most chains. Who do they think they are? A restaurant that is run well enough to continue making money...unlike so many "local" places that don't know how to run a business worth a damn and go bankrupt. The food is not terrible...otherwise they would not be packed all the damn time. Same with some other chains. Now Applebees (which is ok for a few items) you can usually get into... Look...most chains started as local places...but they built up a business and successfully made it bigger...standardizing prep and service as much as possible...and they are good enough to keep in business (again, unlike so many "local" places that end up going out of business). You see some local places open up 3-4 places around town...why? Because they can. And why do these chains charge so much? Again...because they can.
