just_want_2_win 0 Posted September 9, 2008 Who would you rather have (1 pt per reception league)? Tough. I'd probably take Slaton on the better passing team and because in Balt. McGahee should be back, reducing Rice's role. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=322761 -- Help me?

ben4uf 0 Posted September 11, 2008 I'm in the same situation except not in a PPR league. Currently I have Ray Rice but someone just dropped Slaton. Both are backups but tons of potential, however it seems Ray Rice didnt impress much and McGahee is supposed to come back so Rice's touches will prob decrease. Not to mention the FB Laroi or whatever his name is had as many carries, more yards and didnt lose a fumble. Slaton on the other hand has Ahman Green ahead of him, but Green hasnt been productive since GB days and is SO inury prone that I'm thinking I should take Slaton if nobody snags him ahead of me. Sounds like others feel this is a close one, but Slaton has more upside? I'd like to hear others thoughts on it too though. Anyone feel Rice is the better RB to have? smash-a-mus 6 Posted September 16, 2008 I am in the same situation. I am about to use my #5 WW position to drop rice to pick up Slaton. I am leaning on slaton because... 1. Houston has a more balance attack which opens up running lanes. 2. Slaton plays behind Ahman Green who is older and just as injury prone if not more than McGahee. 3. I'm just not sold on rice who only ran for 60 some yards on 22 carries against a poor run defense of cinci.
Rochester Blizzard 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Slaton. He will be the starter sooner than Rice will be.
