broncosfan24 0 Posted September 16, 2008 For those of you who know, Keary Kolbert was traded today to the Seahawks. They Seahawks are pretty banged up at WR's. I was think of adding him, because he is a FA and dropping David Patten. What do you think? Will he start? Worth the risk? Thanks...leave link.

despleyj 0 Posted September 16, 2008 i wouldn't do it, patten is the go to guy for the saints now and they have a more explosive offense then the seahawks. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324279

He had a good preseason in Denver and though Seattle also just signed K. Robinson, no telling if he's in game shape. So although KRob knows the offense, I think Colbert actually might make the bigger difference immediately. Seattle has nothing but the TE to throw to. Patten is one of many targets in NO - Meachem, Henderson, Shockey, Moore, Bush. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324284 - mine
Pavlov 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Thanks for seeing mine. I see Patten's stock declining--too many other targets and Colston will come back sooner or later. Colbert is more high risk/reward since things are getting so bad in Seattle that they switched their backup QB to WR--and he promptly got hurt. Why you do that when your starting QB has a bad back is beyond me, but assuming everyone stays somewhat healthy, Colbert might be the play.
WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted September 17, 2008 id sit tight with patten. hes getting the most looks of WR's in that offense with colston out and colbert hasnt done anything in the NFL in 3 years. plus the hawks also added koren robinson.. i have no idea how their WR situation will play out so id stick with the safer guy in patten please see mine
CapitalCityCajun 0 Posted September 17, 2008 I'd stay with Patten any day over Colbert, even after Colston comes back. Patten is proven and a fav of Brees, Colbert doesn't even know the playbook yet. Drop/Add help
celloshane 0 Posted September 17, 2008 I'd hold off on Colbert unless you think someone else is going to snap him up right away. The Hawks offense will need some time to gel, and Patten is the hot hand for the next couple weeks at least. see mine
