***Official Week 8 College Betting Thread***

Recommended Posts

Oh, I am here. Just not posting plays because I didn't play any last week. I cashed out some winnings, gave the wifey some shopping money and I went to the Georgia/Tennessee Bears/Falcons games.

I hope you went a little nuts at that Bears game for me. I was on the golf course and wifey was giving me play by play. FOCK me!!

Seriously bro, we have won 3/4 of every game this season. What is up with the D in the 4th quarter? Are the not in condition?

What is the CFL score? Philly

Just seconds before halftime, Edmonton just took a 21-17 lead. Not much defense in this game so far. 3 seconds to go. OK, officially halftime. Edmonton gets ball first in the 2nd.

Some quick thoughts on my stupid card for tomorrow. I wanted to scale back my bets overall, as I just didn't have the same confidence in the picks as the last two weeks, which were really good weeks. I can't imagine 3 great Saturday games in a row. But there were a few games that I just hated to make simply 2 unit plays. So I isolated my more favorite plays, 5 of them, leaving open the possibility of maybe another play or two. I ddin't plan for this, and I surely won't expect have this many 5 unit plays in one week again, but the circumstances dictated this to me, so I am going with what makes me feet comfortable.

Buffalo lost a heatbreaker last week to W Mich, blowing a very late 2 TD lead only to lose in OT. Will Buffalo bounce back? I don't see why they shouldn't, even accidently. Army has a shitty pass defense, and Buffalo should be moving the ball all day long. Army is coming off a very lucky win over Tulane and a great matchup win over E Mich, a team that sucks vs the run. Sure, Army could move the ball a bit on the ground. But this cruddy team isn't likely to get lucky 3 weeks in a row. Buffalo's run defense is actually pretty good.

Mississippi hasn't lost a game by more than 7 yet this year with the losses coming to Vandy, Wake For, and So Car. The key is turnovers. They turn it, they lose close games. They hold onto it, they win. Thedy also have a win over Florida in the Swamp on their resume. They are a very competitive team, with good balance on offense. Houston Nutt has really gotten this team to play hard in his first year as coach. Alabama is 3-16 ATS in it's last 19 home games as a favorite. I know that Alabama has started to put up some points lately. But they are a vastly inconsistent team, that has stuggled with lesser teams this year. I think this game goes down to the wire. Miss is better than Kentucky, and Kentucky lost 17-14 to Alabama in Bama's last game.

No Ill is one of the most improved teams in the country, and just welcomed back their stud QB Harnish back from injury last game, after he got hurt in week 2. Big offensive improvement. Toledo is coming off one of it's biggest wins in history by upsetting Michigan on the road last week. It's asking a lot for them to get up emotionally two road games in a row, considering they are still celebrating from last week. Toledo is a historically awful road team ATS, getting blown out regularly. Last year, Toledo blatantly ran up the score on No Ill 70-21, rubbing their nose in the loss with late scoring. Extra motivation.

Stanford is a sneaky good team. Despite Pritchard being knocked out last week with a concussion, they rallied to upset Arizona at home. At this point, it's hard to call any Stanford win an upset. I've been fading UCLA a lot this year, and playing on Stanford a lot lately, so it makes sense for this to be a big play. UCLA has struggled vs the run, and that is what Stanford's offense does best.

Troy is the class of the Sun Belt. Flor Int has run off a several wins but were outgained in two of them and dominated the turnover battle, getting +4 in two of those games, but remain one of the youngest teams in the nation, and I'm not sure they have the players or experience to step up vs Troy. Since FIU and Troy are tied for 1st in the Sun Belt, there is little chance Troy takes this game lightly. FIU is 4-26 SU in last 30 games.

if you would keep me updated

Post padding.

Edmonton up 28-23, 4:34 left 3rd quarter. I'll try to keep up with major score changes. I may ignore the 1 pt scores.

Good luck.

I'm still fuming that Hawaii has 5 turnovers this game. I'm waiting for them to do it again so Boise can score and cover this focking game. Another 1:20 to sweat out.

BC up 29-28 with 12 minutes to go 4th quarter. Went for 2 and didn't make it. Assh0le coach of Edmonton decided to punt on 3rd and inches, and BC predictably goes right down the field and scores. BC went for it on 3rd and short twice on their last drive, but Edmonton goes gutless and punts, and watch BC score again. You know, in a shootout, maybe you consider going for it, considering the defense has to lineup a full yard off the ball. That means 3rd and inches is automatic short of a bobbled snap. Focking idiots.

BC 16 unanswered points. Edmonton fumbled, BC cashes in a TD. 36-28, 7 minutes to go. Unless there is good news to report, I'm done posting. Edmonton completely feel apart at home in a crucial game. Fock. Need a TD and 2pter and hope for OT, if their defense can actually slow down BC.

Did Akron really Win or is that a typo?????? I thought they Lost, I hope akron won though!!! WOW

My book just gave my a win on Akron. I have no idea how it happened. They had a FG blocked with 10 seconds to go, down 1 after blowing a late 13 pt lead. What the hell happened?
