posty 2,316 Posted December 16, 2008 Per Rotoworld... Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Braves have agreed to terms with Rafael Furcal on a three-year contract. According to Rosenthal the deal includes a vesting fourth-year option, but is worth less than the four-year, $40 million deal offered by the A's. Rosenthal speculates that Furcal "would play shortstop or second base for the Braves, depending upon which other moves the team makes," which suggests that Atlanta will be moving either Yunel Escobar or Kelly Johnson. GuardBum 73 Posted December 16, 2008 This could restart Peavy talks being that Escobar would be presumably on the table again but neither party will be rushing it at this point.
