redtodd 7 Posted June 14, 2009 Don't we waste a ton of water in order to make our lawns greener? That seems like an awful waste of water IMHO.

WhiteWonder 2,172 Posted June 14, 2009 meh, using water to help keep grass trees and plants healthy seems fine to me its all the water you use during those long showers when you beat off thats killing mother earth!
Va-Nomad 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Irrigating your lawn is good. Healthy lawn and landscape is good for the environment, it lowers air temps and plants use CO2(greenhouse gas) and produce O2(good gas). When irrigating, using grey water or recycled rain is best, but irrigation water does find its way into the groundwater and is not totally wasted. Also using rain sensors and water conserving sprinkler heads is a good way to help Momma Earth.
