Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 23, 2009 I kind of forget some of these things until people ask about them, or in this case since I've started (begrudgingly) using Excel 2007 more, I noticed the green triangle menace, also known as Excel's potential error checking system. When you open up your copy of the Compiler or Draft Buddy, have you noticed your cheatsheet filled with little green triangles? Excel puts those there because it thinks maybe, possibly the formulas in those cells have an error in them. They don't. This is one of those features where Excel is trying to be helpful to basic users, but in turn, annoy more advanced users like us You don't have to get rid of these things if you don't want to. You can look right past them, and they won't print if/when you print your cheatsheets, but I think they just look bad on the screen and I prefer to get rid of them. So how do you do that? Mike FF Today 721 Posted May 30, 2013 For Excel 2010... Go to Formulas > Error Checking > Options > and uncheck the box "Enable background error checking". Bye-bye annoying green triangles.
