Looks even to me Team A gets a Tier 2 RB and Tier 3 WR, Team B gets a Tier 2 WR and Tier 3 RB. Both come out pretty even in the end. Based on the needs you posted I'd say it's a dead even trade.

I have to agree w/ the above poster based on needs...I have Smith this year as well..big time talent...but sometimes you have to give up a little for needs...

It's tough to say after one week, but I'd probably prefer Smith and Stewart, despite their dismal performances in Week 1. I actually like Rice a lot this year, so if you have another WR and won't miss Smith, I suppose it's worth doing. But I've never cared for Santana Moss...one week he can be amazing, the next week he'll do nothing. A product of their offense and QB partially, but I also think that's the kind of player he is. I think Smith won't have a great year, but his numbers should definitely improve.

 

That said, if you need a RB, you can do a lot worse than Rice, who I think could be pretty valuable this year. And as the trade stands, I think it's very even.

thank you for answering. i had anthony gonzo as my WR2 and he is out for who know how long. My running backs are not great but i think i can fill in that spot with Mike Bell, Donald Brown, Jonathan Stewart or Felix Jones. I am gambling that one of those 4 will be good enough because my other 2 backs are Sjax and Bush hell now the more i think about it the less i want it to be done

I would not make the trade. However, other than Gonzo, who are your WR's? You have plenty of choice at RB and don't need Rice. Brown will eventually explode this year replacing Addai. I agree with the one post about Moss...cannot rely on Campbell!

I would not make the trade, Moss will give you headaches with his up and downs. The trade seems fair but I would not do it

I have RIce and want another WR. my #1 WR is Randy Moss. trading Rice kills my RBs but im taking chance that one of those guys steps up. Brown, Stewart, Jones

if you really need that WR, i'd go for it. i think stewart is underrated personally. he'll step up, rice is a BIG hit but you're getting rid of moss, who is up and down for a more consistent WR. it's a fair trade, tough to say who comes out ahead but probably worth it for you...
