gridiron whirlwinds 10 Posted November 16, 2009 Do you guys think that Desean Jackson is a top 12 WR in 2010 and in Dynasty rankings? What would be your guys top 15 WR as far as Dynasty rankings go?
Eagles Green 34 Posted November 16, 2009 Most WRs don't peak until their 3rd year. He is a stud in his 2nd. You do the math
Cstriker 2 Posted November 16, 2009 He is a fast deep threat. But here are things i have against him. 1. Frail physique. 2. A lot of ankle related issues cutting at high speed etc. 3. Not very great across the center catching balls, and braces for impact before its there. Showing he is afraid to take hits. 4. Not a redzone target. with the emergence of Maclin in all the categories above, I am going to avoid drafting desean next year. He could very well go for 1000 and 8 again. But i dont want to take that risk.
We Tigers 71 Posted November 16, 2009 Fitz Wayne Moss Andre Calvin V. Jax Colston Roddy These are probably the only guys I would definitively put above him in the mid to long-term, though plenty of others like Welker/Marshall/Ocho are all in the discussion too. I do think he's probably a top-15 dynasty option. The biggest concerns I'd have with DeSean are McNabb's tendency to go for whomever's open (witness Avant yesterday, or the Tampa game where DeSean had just 1 catch), and some questions about how effective the Philly offense will be when Westbrook is fully gone/totally ineffective (which looks like it could be as soon as next week given the way the injuries are piling up). Maclin is also really good, but I think DeSean will stay the top guy there. Talk about speed on the edges with those two guys, though. Older receivers are needlessly undervalued in dynasty, but I think DeSean has a place in the higher tiers.
gridiron whirlwinds 10 Posted November 16, 2009 Our league is actually a TD only league....but he seems to be finding the endzone regularly with his long TD's.
