Keeper Auction League - HELP!

Recommended Posts

$100 cap.

Mccoy is $4, Felix is $5. I can only keep 1 if any.

I also have the #1 rookie pick.

Here's my dilemma:

If I keep one of those, and then draft Mathews($12), I've got $16/$17 into RB's, and not sure if either is a starter!

What do you guys think about McCoy or Felix? I'm just not sold on them, am I crazy?

How much do the top RBs net? $25-30 apiece? If you can only keep one player a year, I see no reason not to hold one of those guys for $4 or $5. I doubt you can get a replacement player of equal value at that money. I'd lean towards Felix myself, as I think he'll get his shot in Dallas and has more exciting long-term potential.

You're thinking too hard. It's McCoy no question. Felix is great but sharing with Barber and Choice. McCoy is even better in PPR leagues. McCoy and Mathews will be lethal combo for years in a dynasty/keeper league.

I'd definitely keep Lesean McCoy at $4. I have him as a top 15-20 RB in standard scoring leagues, and even higher in PPR leagues. He is probably worth about $10 in a $100 cap league. I'm not as high on Felix Jones, especially this season. To me he is a fringe top 25 RB, and maybe worth about $6 or $7. I'd be perfectly fine with Lesean McCoy and Ryan Mathews for only $16. That's 2 top 20 RB's for less than 1/5th your budget.

Depending who is available you can then create a budget and target certain players. Maybe something like this:

QB- $10-15

RB- $20-25

WR- $20-25

WR- $10-15

WR- $5

TE- $5

K- $1

DEF- $1

If there aren't any other "starting" RB's available that fit your budget, then use that money towards getting higher end QB's and WR's. Then get some cheaper, high upside RB's to fill out your bench.
