Gatorclan3 0 Posted August 13, 2010 OK...let me set this up real quick. I am in a 12 team, 3 keeper league. You cant keep anyone from the rounds 1-3 of the draft. I won the league last year and have the 12th pick serpentine. I have four possible keepers to pick from: C. Johnson, Wells, Greene, Calvin Johnson. Here are some of the players that will be available in the first round of the draft: Peterson, Turner, S. Jackson, Matthews, J. Charles, Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Romo, Moss, Fitzgerald, Wayne. My gut tells me to keep CJ, CJ, and Greene. Then I could grab a top WR/QB with picks 12, 13. Im sure all of the RB's mentioned above will be gone so that should leave me with some options at QB/WR. However, Ive been thinking about it more and more and part of me wants to keep all three RB's and leave Calvin Johnson out. That way, I am stocked at RB (I would probably pick up another 2 later in the draft) and could survive any potential injury to one of my star RB's. I could go WR/WR with picks 12, 13 and still be solid. However, I would definitely miss out on one of the top QB's... and this is a 6 pt per every TD pass league! So, what do you think? 1) Chris, Calvin, Shonne? or 2) Chris, Shonne, Beanie?
MRclutch4 0 Posted August 13, 2010 Go with option number 1. I think if you get those 3 players and then draft a top QB and WR with your 12th and 13th picks, you'd have a solid team.
mrgymrat 0 Posted August 13, 2010 I'd go CJ-CJ + Shonn. That's a great start. It's possible that Beanie may last until the 12th pick depending on who keeps what. He went 1.10 in my keeper league.
Militia 0 Posted August 14, 2010 I would say CJ, CJ, Greene. You have starting RB's taken care of and you already have your #1 receiver. I think this is going to give you a better base to start with for your team. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=367249
gocolts 300 Posted August 19, 2010 I agree with the others. Greene, CJ, and CJ. If you can't get one of the big 3 QBs, wait on your QB and grab some WR/TE/RB type players first. After the big 3, most QBs will score about the same and you could grab a decent one a bit later.
