chrisfab 0 Posted September 25, 2010 Depends if you need to start him this and next week, as Caddy plays PIT and has a bye. Long term, maybe not... Please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=371472

I'd be more concerned with trying to package one of them for an upgrade at WR or RB. BTW, no I wouldn't drop Caddy for Tolbert. As bad as Caddy has been, he's still the main man, while Tolbert may have this week only before he starts sharing with Mathews, and even then it may only be goal line work. Too early to dump Caddy IMO.
WiljenFC 0 Posted September 25, 2010 No, you don't drop a potential weekly contributor for a 1 week fill. While Cadillac has his share of issues, he is a starting back and after this week, Tolbert goes back to a part-time bench warmer. I wouldn't do it unless you feel you cant win without making this move this week and you are desperate for this weeks win.
Lake209 44 Posted September 25, 2010 Tolbert only short-term value, if that. Sproles is just fine in SD, so even Tolbert's touches this week will be limited by the other back. At least Caddy gets the ball. I'd hold onto Caddy and take your punishment this week vs. Pitt. Too early to dump Caddy IMO. We can start up to 2 TE's and they have a bonus to yards (10 yards = 1 point where WR's, RB's, etc have 20 yards = 1 point) - we had the 11th pick in the first round/ 2nd pick in the 2nd round - so we ran with the top two TE's on our board and was able to snag Schaub in the third. So we are not planning on moving our TE's.

Thanks, just was thinking it would be a closers to 3-6 weeks since it was a high ankle sprain. Not worried about giving him the nod - thinking we will go with McFadden and Best but thinking of moving McFadden next week if Bush starts to crowd the backfield and see if we could package him with Ocho or Santana for an upgrade at RB (if possible) since Caddy is not got a good matchup and a bye week - neither will help his value.
