Orange1 0 Posted November 6, 2010 In a league that starts 2 QB, 3 RB's 4 WR and 1 TE. There are no QB's on waivers and I need one as a bye week replacement otherwise I only start Ryan and take a zero. My team is as follows: Matt Ryan Garrard bye Orton bye Benson Benjarvis Turner Mendy Ocho Jennings Breston Crayton Braylon Gaffney Garcon Celek Tamme These are the offers: Celek for Whitehurst Garrard and Crayton for Cassel Benson for Freeman and Pierre Thomas That is really it. Or I take a zero. QB's are like gold in our league especially this year with all the injurys. Thanks and I will answer yours.
HHerbs 0 Posted November 7, 2010 Thanks for mine. I'd trade Benson for Freeman and PT. Freeman has been a pretty good QB this year. Not amazing but has put up consistent points. He has a decent playoff schedule too. All 3 other RBs have had their bye week, and PT should come back soon and be a big part of the Saints offense.

Not a bad move especially in your situation. Thanks for answering mine!
TV's Frank 0 Posted November 7, 2010 Since you're willing to take the zero, I'm guessing that you don't need the QB2 to win this week. If that's the case, I'd do Celek for Whitehurst. You really wouldn't be giving anything useful up, and poor numbers from Whitehurst are still better than nothing. And you can always dump him after this week for a FA TE if you want a backup for Tamme. If you need a QB2 to put you over the top this week, I'd do Garrard and Crayton for Cassel. With Nnamdi out, Oakland's pass D isn't quite as frightening, so Cassel should have a pretty good day (and he's a good QB to keep around for the rest of the year). Plus, it looks like you could afford to lose a receiver more than you can afford to lose an RB. Starting 3, you'd be really thin at RB without Benson. Cassle could be a fine spot start, and overall it doesn't hurt you going forward as much as I think the other options do.
fostersfutbol 1 Posted November 7, 2010 If you can afford a loss or maybe playing a weaker team, i'd do whitehurst. Not giving up much, but not getting too much - something better than nothing though. But if you need the win/points, i'd do the freeman/PT deal. Good luck! And thanks for mine. lguero1 4 Posted November 7, 2010 benson for freeman & pierre. u get a very servicable QB and actually an upgrade at RB after week 11.
biglou 2 Posted November 7, 2010 I wouldn't move benson. If you think you could squeak by without a QB2 try it. If you could take the loss and not be hurt do it. Otherwise I would pick up Whitehurst for a few points and minimal loss. Are there any other decent TE's on the wire?
vino 33 Posted November 7, 2010 #1 IMO, take Whitehurst and give up a TE that has done nothing this year so far. #2 take the Freeman trade.. Decent numbers from him plus a hopeful Pierre when he returns.. As far as Cassel, I just don't like his numbers and I'd rather hold on to Garrard than take a hit with Cassel.
