Evil Genius 0 Posted November 25, 2011 Does anyone see Choice taking a lead role with the Bills over the next few weeks? The Bills seem loathe to commit real playing time and touches to Spiller - who admitted has not done much to warrant such, anyway. If Choice were to step into Jackson's role, he could be fantasy relevant. Ideas?

mzf5c5 0 Posted November 25, 2011 If choice couldn't win any job in Washington, how does it do it in Buff?
seadog54 20 Posted November 25, 2011 Spiller didn't get the chance cause of Fjax's stellar performance. They signed Choice because of RB depth not to start. This is CJ's show and they need to see how he does so they know how to draft next season. FJax is old and I seriously think his days are done.
WR Guru 31 Posted November 25, 2011 Spiller, White and Choice combined are not half the runner that FJax was. After the first few times Spiller tiptoes around in the backfield and gets hit for a loss, he will end up in some kind of a rotation with the other two. FJax was also an exceptional receiver out of the backfield, right up there with Forte, and none of the new guys will replace that production. Combine this all with the fact that the Bills are suddenly terrible (outscored 106-26 in their last three) and likely to be playing from behind a lot and that makes this a RB situation to avoid. dreen626 17 Posted November 25, 2011 Spiller is a very talented RB. This is his chance. Is Johnny White any good though? I've never seen him play.
WR Guru 31 Posted November 25, 2011 Spiller didn't get the chance cause of Fjax's stellar performance. This isn't really true. Buffalo has bent over backwards to hand this job to Spiller and he has failed to take it every time. As recently as this preseason they were listing Spiller as the starter on the depth chart until FJax once again reminded them that he is the superior player in every way imaginable. Spiller actually had the starting gig from week 1 as a rookie and went out and had one of the worst performances ever by anybody- something like 15 carries for zero yards. He's just a dancer. A 3rd down/situational back at best.

This is also what I thought about LeSean McCoy his first year in Philly.... not saying Spiller will reproduce McCoy's numbers anytime soon, but the decision-making for the quicker baccks is something possibly learned. There's hope, but the bigger issue is defiitely the entire sinking ship in Buffalo.
