I need to decide between

 

Matt Stafford vs San Diego

OR

Cam Newton vs Tampa Bay

 

It is 6 pt passing or rushing TDs

Bonus 2pts at 250 and 3 pts at 350 passing yards

Interceptions are -2 pts

brutal choice. I'd be included to roll with Newton. TB has given up, is weak through the air and in run d, and Cam can do both. good luck!

Well I think you're well off either way. Tampa Bay - Carolina has a better chance for a high scoring game and Cam can run in anything within 20 yards for a TD against a porous TB run D. I'd go Cam.

I'd say Stafford, because Detroit vs. San Diego promises to be a shootout. I don't see the Detroit running game suddenly taking off when it hasn't produced all season, so Stafford will need to carry the team and should get all the TD's.

 

My main thing against Newton this week is that DeAngelo Williams or Jonathan Stewart may steal TD's from Newton. The Bucs run defense is among the worst, so Williams and Stewart should have big games, meaning less point for Newton.

 

Your league gives 6 points per passing TD, so that's why I recommend Stafford. If passing TD's were 4 points, then Newton would become the better choice given his knack for rushing scores.

I don't think you can lose either way. I tend to lean toward Stafford this week because I think that game will be a shootout. But with Cam you get his rushing prowess. Good luck! Please see mine:
