Diesel07 0 Posted September 1, 2004 Im sure you all are aware of the Hurricane thats been brewing in the Atlantic Ocean. Well, what sucks is, that mofo heading right towards me. I'm in West Palm Beach, FL. First, it was projected to hit WPB directly, than they projected it to hit Jacksonville than Orlando. They say its one of the hardest storms to predict, so we'll see. They're probably going to start evacuations within 12-24 hours, buy my family and i riding this mug out . I work for Coca-Cola, and i was in all the supermarkets today (9/1) and they were swarmed with people, OMG! It was nuts! The grocery stores started getting packed real early like 7:00 am. Well, I hope i have a computer, let alone my house, to draft from. Im hoping to shoot some footage with my digital camera I'll keep you guys posted. If all of sudden i disappear, I'm probably without electricity/home/computer
vlade21 0 Posted September 1, 2004 Don't worry, if you miss the draft and we have to pick for you, we'll make sure you get James Stewart again.
Diesel07 0 Posted September 1, 2004 NOOOOOOOOOOO hahaha. I was just on rivals.com (warchant specifically) reading about the FSU-UM game, because its probably going to be cancled due to this focken hurricane God, i hate both type of hurricanes The 11:00 am advisory now has it heading what looks like towards Vero Beach, which is about 30 miles north of me, pretty scary! Diesel07 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Man things are looking worse for me. Now the Hurricanes projected to make landfall about 10 miles north of me
vlade21 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Apparently all of Miami has been ordered to evacuate? That's fucked up!
Diesel07 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Actually, to the whole east coast is on a hurricane watch/warning, so its "recommended" everyone evacuate, but not really necessary unless you live in a high surge zone. I have pets and my grandparents are coming to stay with us, cause they live "right near da beach mon," so im not evacuatning. Evacuation is for pu$$ies . Plus if my roof goes-a-blowin, i dont want people rummaging through my sh!t. Houses built after 92, have to meet hurricane requirements, unfortunately, my house wasnt. Most houses are built to withstand winds up to 110 mph, this is a cat 4- 140-145 mph winds, so we'll see. I never though preparing for a hurricane was this much trouble. Zap 0 Posted September 3, 2004 I battoned down the hatches for a hurricane many years ago when I lived in Panama. Man, the wind was so loud it sounded like sheet metal whipping through the air. We were well inland and far from the storm surge, but in the aftermath we were stranded in a small town for five days while they cleared the roads. Good luck, bro. That motha is bearing down on you. Diesel07 0 Posted September 3, 2004 Thanks zap. Every update, the weather men are predicting it to hit 30-50 miles north of us, than they say its now coming towards us, so really they dont know where this things heading. We just hoping for the best. The storms was moving 5 mph, so there real worried about flooding, cause that storm moving 5 mph will hang over us for a long time. Zap 0 Posted September 4, 2004 This dude's getting pounded right now. Friggin' Hurricane stalled right on top of him. That's the worst thing these monsters do... hang out for awhile and rip everything to pieces. It's oddly thrilling though.
