steel827 2 Posted November 21, 2012 I've heard that he should resume practicing after his concussion this week, but I haven't seen anything if he has been cleared. Anybody hear anything? Just my two pennies

SNZ11 5 Posted November 21, 2012 Even though Fred Jackson (concussion) has been cleared, C.J. Spiller will start Sunday's game against the Colts. At long last, coach Chan Gailey has realized that Spiller gives his team the best chance to win. "C.J. will start, but we're still going to play Fred," said Gailey. "It takes two. It does. So Fred will get quite a few snaps, but C.J. will start and get the majority of the snaps." Look for most of Jackson's reps to come in short-yardage situations or when Spiller is gassed. The revelation leaves Spiller as a clear-cut RB1 with upside and F-Jax as a mere flex play.
ChocolateTown 4 Posted November 21, 2012 Choice got a healthy amount of playing time last week. I'm betting F-Jax will get even more than that. It is in Spillers and the Bills best interest to have another RB to help share the load. Spiller just isn't an every-down back.

It is in Spillers and the Bills best interest to have another RB to help share the load. Spiller just isn't an every-down back. Spiller sat out so many key plays against the Fins, a lot at the goalline, that it made me sick. With Fjax back, that volume of touches will be greater than what choice got. In standard leagues, I'd expect him to crack the 100 total with significant upside, but I'm sitting him in my league where you get 1 pt/20 yards without fractions for Hakeem Nicks. GL touches are almost guaranteed to Fred, so you're basically relying on a long TD if yards don't mean as much. Last week was a major disappointment, all the Spiller fanboys conveniently overlooked the fact that Spiller was on the sidelines in very critical situations. There's a reason he's not a 25 touches a game guy obviously, which again the fanboys want to ignore, believing they know more than the coaches and just because Spiller is on their team he should be the bellcow and Fjax who they paid big bucks to should just sit there and blow kisses to all the womens in the crowd... Choice got goal line work last week bc spiller had just broken a big play and needed a rest. It was more of a 'flow of the game situation' than them just pulling spiller out around the goaline for no reason.

It was more of a 'flow of the game situation' than them just pulling spiller out around the goaline for no reason. he needed quite a few rests, and seemed to be at inopportune times. He didn't exactly have 40 carries that he would be dead tired. More indication that he's not an every down back and that's why buf uses him the way they do... BuschWack 59 Posted November 22, 2012 Bill's coaching staff with Chan at the top are focking idiots. They fell to see that Spiller like lots of RB's need reps to get into a groove. There were a couple times when they took Spiller out and he did not need a break or he was taken out for a break and didn't get back in. Keeping Spiller out around the goal line just because he needs a little breather is a joke. He's a more elusive runner than Choice and doesn't give up much if any between the tackles. Chan will be the reason why the Bills don't make the playoffs this season and moving forward.
