NoleMan 1 Posted August 10, 2013 RB starting to taper off dangerously now at this point. You're faced with injury prone backs and untested rookies. In this format, with a flex, made sense to go RB/RB since I'm the 10th pick. Gore should still have something left in the tank and was forecasted to be a mid 3rd rounder, so there's some value there too.
TheWenner 2 Posted August 10, 2013 Gore in the 4th? Nice value.
treewarden 1 Posted August 11, 2013 Has to agree that RB's are thinning fast but all signs point to Bell having no competition so I'll take a rookie with fresh legs who's looks like another bell cow RB. Did consider WR but Cobb & Fitz went last round so I'll patiently wait.
NoleMan 1 Posted August 11, 2013 I like Bell. Almost took him over Gore, but just went with the higher ranked player.
NoleMan 1 Posted August 12, 2013 Great value getting White there. Toyed with getting him vs. Gore.
idiotec 31 Posted August 12, 2013 I'll look away if you guys want to kiss
idiotec 31 Posted August 12, 2013 To be honest. I will probably be the guy who keeps on passing on Bell and then watch him break out his rookie year. In the 4th I really like it, we shall see...
The Dude Abides 1 Posted August 12, 2013 Hopefully more tds for Andre Johnson. Wanted Roddy
NoleMan 1 Posted August 12, 2013 Good value pick. Had him at 3.09. And before ideotec weigh in with the post...
FeelingMN 273 Posted August 12, 2013 Great value getting White there. Toyed with getting him vs. Gore. Was tempted to go RB there....probably Murray.....but the thought of White as a WR2 was too much to pass up.
TheWenner 2 Posted August 12, 2013 Here. Making my pick shortly.
TheWenner 2 Posted August 12, 2013 Like the Murray pick. Would have gone RB, but thought the receivers were better value
TheWenner 2 Posted August 12, 2013 Eddie Lacy? Wow. I understand the thought process, but still, I am surprised
NoleMan 1 Posted August 12, 2013 Agreed! Early on Garcon IMHO over the likes of Nelson.
idiotec 31 Posted August 12, 2013 I went back and forth on those two. Since its my WR2 I can see the point, but I also tend to go with risk guys. You either take a #2 on a team that should be consistent, or a #1 on a team with question marks. My thought is IF RG3 is healthy and IF Garçon stays healthy, I see so reason that O won't be better than last year and he could actually perform as a WR1. Now those are a lot of ifs... The Dude Abides 1 Posted August 12, 2013 I live in Charlotte and sorta a homer pick. Took Cam here. Was looking at RBs and he can run some in for me. Last year i waited on qbs and got Eli and Josh Freeman. Never again. I want a top 5 qb. Hope Cam can produce.
TheWenner 2 Posted August 12, 2013 Colston is such a steal in round 5!!
NoleMan 1 Posted August 12, 2013 GREAT get on Cam there!
carmo911 2 Posted August 12, 2013 I was between Bowe, Cruz and Colston. You guys made my decision easier. Plus i didn't realize i have the Brees/Colston connection... I usually do not draft or set out to draft like that. just the way the board fell to me.
FeelingMN 273 Posted August 12, 2013 Ugh.....I think I may have pulled a hammy just selecting Ivory. Not at all confident he stays healthy, and the Jets suck. But the dude has skills and if he can somehow manage 300 touches this year, he'll drastically outperform his ADP. Would have considered Colston here if he fell. TheWenner 2 Posted August 12, 2013 Was torn between sproles and colston. Picked sproles because of my boom or bust rb2 in mjd
TheWenner 2 Posted August 12, 2013 Solid RBs are pretty much gone at this point. Only a few mediocre starters left.
treewarden 1 Posted August 12, 2013 I'm a little nervous about a WR missing all of preseason with a knee "procedure" but the ceiling is too high to pass on Jordy IF the knee holds up.
NoleMan 1 Posted August 12, 2013 Top tier wide receivers starting to disappear and we are deep into the second tier. Like Amendola's upside if he stays healthy.
treewarden 1 Posted August 13, 2013 Was seriously considering Amendola but got beat out by a reach around. A bit early for Richardson? Again, looking for a young RB w/o much competition who will lead the team in carries. Need to hope that STL OFF is able to spread the field to open up some running lanes. Plus I've got the market on RB's named Richardson!
TheWenner 2 Posted August 13, 2013 But what about Pead?
idiotec 31 Posted August 13, 2013 So would I really pick Kaep ahead of Ryan? TBH, IDK. I've been higher than a lot on Ryan the last couple years and it paid off last year. But I do really think the SF offense will be electric this year even with Crabs out most or possibly all of the season. I see 3800/25/550/8 as a realistic scenario. treewarden 1 Posted August 13, 2013 But what about Pead? Who? Maybe a change of pace back at most...
