‘Obamacare’ National Marketing Campaign To Cost Nearly $700 Million

Recommended Posts

CHICAGO (AP) It will make you stronger. It will give you peace of mind and make you feel like a winner. Health insurance is what the whole country has been talking about, so dont be left out.

Sound like a sales pitch? Get ready for a lot more. As President Barack Obamas health care law moves from theory to reality in the coming months, its success may hinge on whether the best minds in advertising can reach one of the hardest-to-find parts of the population: people without health coverage.

The campaign wont come cheap: The total amount to be spent nationally on publicity, marketing and advertising will be at least $684 million, according to data compiled The Associated Press from federal and state sources.

We were told all these folks without insurance were begging for it. It would seem as though the people this law was passed to help would be eager to sign up, so I have a hard time figuring out the need to advertise it.

I'm starting to get the distinct impression that you are not a big fan of Obamacare. :dunno:

Maybe I love it and all those people pushing for it to be passed to save them just havn't got the news yet.

I was actually talking to Phurfur, the guy who posts about it roughly 27 times a day, there. Sorry for any confusion.

No problem.

My question still stands. How is it that all those who were begging to get insurance are unaware that Obamacare was passed 4 years ago?

280 million people had health insurance before ObamaCare. They hope to add 25 million uninsured through ObamaCare. The ACA is like bringing an atomic bomb to a knife fight. The government takeover of the health care system was completely unnecessary but fits in perfectly with the Socialist agenda.
