Waiver wire players to take a flyer on

Recommended Posts

This is for a 14 team, PPR league so the waiver wire is pretty bare. But what do you think of these players? I don't really NEED to make a move, but if one of these guys has boom potential, might as well be proactive.

Currently, I'd be dropping WR Hankerson if I were to pick one of these guys up:

WR Latimer- Same sitation as Hankerson, but has more potential. May swap them.

WR Patterson- His floor is underground but his ceiling is the highest. I'm intrigued.

WR T Lockett

WR M Floyd

WR C Beasley

WR Hawkins- I just see him beating out Hartline and Bowe, which isn't saying much.

WR C Brown & T Ginn- whoever is going to be starting in Car

HB Sims- because I have Doug Martin

TE Watson- my only TE is Allen

TE Clay- same reason as above

TE Rodgers- Rodgers 2 Rodgers more since Nelson is out?

Rodgers to rodgers wk1 I think is good for TE. Lacy may be a focus wk1 for def. I think rodgers is a nice flex maybe starter. Miller may be good too. Leaning more towards the Rodgers tho.

Do you have A. Rodgers

Well, I wouldn't be playing anybody here in week 1. Just trying to guess who's going to break out before they actually do.

And, no I don't have QB Rodgers.

He is. He seems like he's in the same boat as Patterson and Latimer. Could either boom, or be nothing.

I'm starting to think Watson is the pick up here vs Arizona. Would anybody start Watson over Allen at TE?

Does your league have return yards?

Doesn't matter, grab Lockett. Stop typing and do it.

He shouldn't be available in a 14 teamer.

You are right that he may be boom or bust. But the potential boom is one of the biggest ones out there.

Lockett had a good day on returns but didn't do much as a receiver and Seattle is a run-first offense. I don't view him as a must-add and view him more along the lines of Tavon Austin in that he is barely worth a roster spot in 10-12 team leagues.
