ptantam47 4 Posted November 4, 2016 I'm trying to unload Marvin Jones in one of my leagues and get something in return. I just don't like the way this Lions offense is going with the shorter passes and they get Minnesota twice in the next few weeks and the bye coming up. I'd like to get another receiver in return, so what would be a reasonable "ask"? I offered for Michael Thomas and was rejected outright. My other WRs are Jordy, Pryor, Snead, Moncrief, JJ Nelson. I need to start 3WR, std scoring. Thanks. WHIR.
jimaveli 119 Posted November 4, 2016 Good luck. He's too far removed from his best run. The window to move him is also closed/closing cuz he has a rough month ahead of him. I keep thinking he's going to have a decent last month of the season. Aka if you can take benching him for month, keep him.
Oriole8159 86 Posted November 4, 2016 First, as part of your pitch, try to remind people that 2 weeks ago he was tackled at the one on one play, so his 90 yds could easily have been 90 yds and a TD. Thus, he's only really on a one game bad stretch, so he's far from worthless. He's an avg WR2, high WR3 depending on your settings, so my advice would be to try to package him with another mid tier WR or RB, for an even better WR or RB. There's much more value in doing that than trying a straight up, one for one deal. So for example, try him and Jordy to see if you can get a Top 5 WR would be my first recommendation. Or if you have a surplus of RB2s, try packaging him with one of them for a true RB1 like Lamar Miller. Just for comparisons, I traded Jones this week straight up for Doug Martin. weepaws 3,425 Posted November 4, 2016 Good question. I'm in the same boat , and I don't think his vaule is at all near where it was if I had traded him a few weeks ago. To trade him I need to forget what he once did and look at this body of work over the past few games.
