Sean Mooney 2,059 Posted October 28, 2022 I have CMC. League with 3 WR, 2 RB, no flex. .5 PPR Someone offered me Amari Cooper, Tyler Lockett, Najee Harris for Alec Pierce, CMC, Michael Gallup. My other RBs are: Barkley, Walker, Robinson Jr, D. Harris, Patterson Mt other WR's are Mike Evans, Diontae Johnson, Mike Williams Honestly, I know I'm giving up the best piece in the trade but Cooper/Lockett are big upgrades over Pierce/Gallup and I think my receiving corps gets some better consistency. I'm leaning towards doing it. I think Harris has to be better and CMC's injury history always worries me a little.
show me the murray 52 Posted October 28, 2022 I wouldn't take it. I'd much rather have the upside of CMC in any given week. Cooper and Lockett are upgrades at WR but neither are a sure thing, and Harris is just an inefficient back in a bad offense at this point. Got a feeling Gallup could be good second half of the season. Cowboys have a bye next week giving him and Dak an extra week to get back to full strength and get on the same page. Sean Mooney 2,059 Posted October 28, 2022 My thing is this- CMC for a #1 receiver would be great but it makes me weaker in one spot to be stronger in another in some respects. I look at rest of season rankings on stuff like this for some help. Using my team I have: Barkley #1, CMC #3, Walker #8, Robinson Jr, #24, Patterson #43 Evans #11, Johnson #26, Williams #28, Gallup #49, Pierce #55 If I made the trade I would have: Barkley #1, Walker #8, Harris #19, Robinson Jr, #24, Patterson #43 Evans #11, Lockett #17, Cooper #22, Johnson #26, Williams #28 A 12 team league with 3 WR means I'd essentially have 3, WR2 or better in that league and still have two of the top 10 running backs going forward. show me the murray 52 Posted October 28, 2022 If I'm giving away CMC, I want a top 10 WR in return at minimum. I don't think you're getting that. Would much rather roll into the second half of the season with arguably the top 2 RBs in fantasy and Walker to have RB as a real strength, and see if any of my WRs either take a step forward or I can trade for one with upside using one of my other depth pieces. Sean Mooney 2,059 Posted October 28, 2022 I might just try to do B Robinson for Cooper or something like that. I still don't hate the original deal. I'm also 5-2 in the league in second place. I just know my receivers are being held together by tape and rubber bands right now and losing Williams for 4 weeks hurts. Lockett and/or Cooper would've stabilized me for a few weeks. But you also don't want to do to much to offset what you've built already.
show me the murray 52 Posted October 28, 2022 Yeah it’s a tricky balance. I just think I’d stick with RB as your strength - I’m assuming you can start 3? And then roll out your best 2 WRs each week and hope one hits. WR production is more volatile, but there are also more who could pop off in any given week. I’d definitely offer Robinson or Patterson for a Cooper type. Be aware though that Barkley and CMC have the same bye week (week 9).
