Thats a shame. I think newheart is a legend. And still one of the funniest natural comedians out there. Damn few guys have his staying power. any Clod can come up with one 15 minute killer set, but he's been funny for a really long time, an, point of fact it  was his wife who came up with the classic ending to the newheart show.  

 

Buddy Hacket set them up a thousand years ago and a year later they were married.

 

I just happened to find the story because I wanted to see how he was doing. 

 

He has a great bit from a few years back when I think it was don rickles was getting roasted.  it was the funniest event of the whole night.

Newhart was a underrated show and like a lot of the Eps actually that Larry and his brothers aren't in much. It's free on Prime and the Ep with Don Rickles is all out funny. S7 EP 14.
