California special needs girl slams high school after teachers branded her a 'bigot and homophobic' when she refused to learn about lesbian sex and get undressed near male teachers

Thelma Gonzalez said she was labelled a 'bigot' by her teacher after refusing to participate in a lesson concerning lesbian sex . Her mom Marina Vivar claims she had signed permission forms explicitly exempting her daughter from taking part in those lessons . Gonzalez told the teacher that because of her Christian beliefs she couldn't take part, and was allegedly branded a 'bigot'

...A California special needs student has slammed her high school after teachers allegedly branded her a 'bigot' and 'homophobic' for refusing to learn about lesbian sex. Thelma Gonzalez, a pupil at Glendale High School, had been enrolled in a health and relationships course by her mom Marina Vivar. Vivar specifically ticked a box exempting her daughter from being taught 'anything LGBTQ+ or about sexual acts which were gay in nature'. She says this was not respected and that she was taught about lesbian sex acts including scissoring and the use of female condoms....

....After her daughter allegedly spoke up saying she shouldn't be learning this, Vivar claims her daughter was called a 'bigot, intolerant and homophobic'. Speaking to Glendale City Council on Tuesday, Vivar said: 'My daughter was taught such acts as scissoring. 'When my daughter expressed that she should not be in these classes, she was called a bigot by her teacher, she was called intolerant, and she was called homophobic. These are all terms she didn't know, they are not part of our vocabulary at home. She simply expressed that due to her Christian beliefs it goes against her morals. At that point a staff member told her to look at her skin color.'

Gonzalez also told the city council: 'I once got in trouble in the girls locker room because I did not dress down in front of other people. There are male teachers inside the girls' locker room. I was scared, I was terrified, because I was afraid of an adult male staring at me while I was changing.'

California student allegedly called a 'bigot' by teachers for refusing to learn about lesbian sex

... A special needs student at a California high school was allegedly called a "bigot" by her teachers for mistakenly not using preferred pronouns, objecting to participating in a lesson about "scissoring" and refusing to get undressed near male teachers....Those terms, Vivar told the council, were unfamiliar to her daughter and aren't words their family uses at home. She added her daughter would not have known the words unless she learned them at school and that her disability prevents her from coming across them organically.

"...... The teacher did ask Ms. Vivar's daughter to refrain from making inappropriate remarks in response to a reference to LGBTQ+ relationships," Glendale High Communications Director Kristine Nam told Fox News Digital. ...."We have investigated the interaction and have not found any evidence that inappropriate remarks were used by the teacher. We will continue to thoroughly investigate....."

The Glendale Unified School District has been heavily criticized in recent months after a policy update allowed educators to lie to parents about a student's gender identity, and after the district sent LGBTQ+ educational materials to teachers for use during pride month without parental knowledge.....

Police drag autistic girl out of house ‘because she said officer looked like her lesbian grandmother’

......West Yorkshire Police have been accused of “manhandling” an autistic girl because she said an officer looked like her grandmother, who is a lesbian. The 16-year-old was arrested for a homophobic public order offence, police confirmed to PinkNews, as footage of the incident sparked widespread outrange on social media. The girl’s mother, Lisa Rozycki, accused the force of being “bullies in uniform” in a TikTok video. The video explained that while police were visiting their home, the teenager said an officer ‘looked like her nanna, who is a lesbian’ and that the officer “took it the wrong way and said it was homophobic......”

.......“My daughter was having panic attacks from being touched by them and they still continued to manhandle her,” text overlayed on the video reads......In the video, Rozycki can be heard telling the officer to stop staring at her daughter due to her autism, while the daughter can be heard screaming, hitting herself and crying while officers attempt to grab her. At the end, the teenager is dragged from her home by multiple officers, despite Rozycki telling officers that she suffers with scoliosis and a twisted spine. On X, formerly known as Twitter, people called the video “distressing” and “very upsetting”.  One user said the conduct from the West Yorkshire Police officers was “totally unacceptable”, while another condemned the force’s behaviour as “disgusting.....”

.....“Officers attended at about 1am and drove the teenager to her home so she could be appropriately looked after,” the force told PinkNews......“Upon returning her to the address, comments were made which resulted in the girl being arrested on suspicion of a homophobic public order offence. The nature of the comments made was fully captured on body-worn video......“When the girl was eventually fit to be interviewed, that interview took place with an appropriate adult.....“She was later released on bail pending further enquiries and advice from the Crown Prosecution Service.....”

......“However, the video footage leaves a lot of questions for the police to answer, were these officers trained in how to handle situations with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, why were there so many police involved and whether or not the way it was dealt with was excessive......There have been a number of cases over the years of autistic people being wrongly arrested or approached by the police due to their ‘unusual behaviour’ I am concerned that this may be what has happened here and I hope it is investigated and the young woman is okay.....”
