I mean,  suppose one November HT or tim or worms or KSB told us he's won election to the state House, then kept posting what he was up to while in office. Each has a half dozen posters here hostile to him and his politics that would gladly rat him out to the opposition party and dig up some embarrassing thing they'd posted along the way.

If any of you ever run for office, learn from ~stick ... don't tell us.

My memory isn't the greatest, but if I remember the story correctly, he originally got outed because of a pot growers forum he was on and used the same ~stick signature and a visible email address. From there dots were connected to here. 

So maybe it's like Voltaire thinks, but it was a different forum person who ratted him out, or possibly just opposition candidate staffer scouring the internet found it and sent it to press.  Regardless, I'm almost 99.9% certain Rule 1 & 2 of the GC wasn't broken.
