Jones is a great man. But I don’t think he’s right about Kendi, or what King would have said about Kendi. 

I read Stamped From the Beginning. I don’t agree with all of its conclusions particularly regarding modern society, but it’s a fine scholarly work. It’s in keeping with the philosophy of WEB Dubois. I believe that MLK would have appreciated Kendi’s contribution, even if he disagreed with some of it. And I absolutely believe that King would have generally welcomed the teaching of Critical Race Theory as essential to American history.
