I think @Engorgeous George called this right. And like I said I actually thought the magistrate would never issue an arrest warrant. Then I thought the judge would grant a motion to dismiss on it. I probably thought the jury would acquit (actually they did on one of the two charges, Dugan was acquitted on the actual crime of concealment) & then that the judge would do a direct verdict. None of that happened. I certainly respect the judge & jury system. One thing that came out was that there was audio of the judge saying “I’ll take the heat” & telling the wanted person he was exiting the “wrong door.” For people looking for situations where the defendant is acquitted of the crime but found guilty of obstruction on that crime, this is your case.
