Author William Hazelgrove illustrates in his 2016 book that Edith Wilson stepped in and handled the day to day business of the Presidency after President Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919.   Her role was well understood within Washington DC, as she tightly controlled access to the President, signed his name to numerous papers requiring a Presidential signature and earned the nickname as the "First Woman President". 

Almost 100 years later, Joe Biden was installed into the White House after his campaign team successfully hid him in the basement for most of the the 2020 Presidential campaign.   Trump-hater Chris Whipple's book Unchartered, rants on about Trump for much of his new book, but ultimately exposes who really steered the ship starting in 2021 while a feeble minded Biden stumbled around in the White House for years.   Jill Biden (insisting on being called Doctor), Ron Klain, Advisor Anita Dunn, Mayorkas, Antony Blinken and others all usurped Presidential powers and violated the constitution, while keeping decisions away from Biden and treating him like a child.  

It remains to be seen if any of them will face consequences for their actions.

Jill Biden should definitely face consequences for insisting on being called Doctor despite her receiving a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in educational leadership from the University of Delaware.
