Couples basically speed-date without ever seeing the other person. They meet in "pods" and talk through a wall and try and match up, etc. They propose, then have a reveal. They go on a trip, meeting the other couples during the trip to see who they "didn't choose." Drama ensues. They go home, meet each other's families, more drama ensues. The finale of the seasons end with weddings and the final choice if they say "yes" or leave the other standing at the altar. Kind of sad in some ways.. Since they do appear to connect without seeing each other, but the visual attraction/physical attraction almost always comes into play. Everyone is pretty average/above average looking.
