Dan Sez 0 Posted September 24, 2004 This week, LonghornDD committed 3 errors in his bid. Two of which could cause it to be tossed out and one would have cost him priority order. First: I recieved the email at 10:02 pm time stamp on the email. here is a copy and past of his email header: This message is not flagged. [ Flag Message - Mark as Unread ] Date: Thu, 23 Sep 2004 20:02:14 -0700 (PDT) From: "Ditz Family" <NEW EMAIL ADDRESS> Add to Address Book Subject: Forty Acres - Week 2 Free Agency To: dland1957@yahoo.com, whoisjgalt@us.net The message arrived past the deadline 11pm East Coast Time (10pm Central) Bid Rejected... Second: LonghornDD bid 9 FA points with no conditionals. We state in the rules that if the bid exceeds the total of points remaining, it will be rejected. You can only bid with the points you have. I can give examples of why it is this way if we need to expand the discussion. Bid Rejected ... Third: Again in the email header. To: dland1957@yahoo.com, whoisjgalt@us.net This is longhornDD's new email addy and he doesn't have all the league addresses. He mistyped who's addy. Per rules if one or the other commish gets a bid, the bid will be processed at the end of regular Priority Order. Not at the end of all free agent activity, but this team would be bumped back to 12th spot and all others move up one step in order. Another case of this - Scatterjack was confused on the Day (happens to me all the time too, bud no insult intended) and wanted to call in a Free Agent bid at the alst minute. That is fine, I will accept such calls, BUT since it only reached one of the two - that bid would be placed at the end of Priority Order. Both Who and I must get the bid (double blind system). Questions?
Dan Sez 0 Posted September 24, 2004 I will try and get out the updated rules set this weekend... Here are the rule violation on overbidding 12. Each team may submit up to 3 names with bids. The total of the 3 bids cannot exceed the amount of FA points a franchise possesses. 23. (Added 09/08/03) If a team submits a bid that totals more FA points than the team has to spend, the entire bid will be ignored. sorry LonghornDD
whoisjgalt 0 Posted September 24, 2004 23. (Added 09/08/03) If a team submits a bid that totals more FA points than the team has to spend, the entire bid will be ignored. This requires further clarification: Say I have 4 pts left. I can bid: 3 for Joe INT 3 for Jerry INT 3 for Jimmy (the max I'd spend is less than my pts left - I do have at least three pts left) I cannot bid: 3 for Joe AND 3 for Jerry AND 3 for Jimmy (I don't have nine pts left) It's not total bid points. It's the total that any combination of successful bids could consume.

If someone bid 4 for Joe then I would Jerry for 3......so on and so forth. Are you really going to disqualify a bid based on symantecs?
