Fearsome 22 Posted August 28, 2017 I am in a standard keeper league. I have the 8th pick and I think I will have WR's Mike Evans, Jordy Nelson or Mike Thomas available to me or RB's Jay Ajayi, Isaiah Crowell or any of the rookie backs. 7 of the top 10 RB's listed on the FFToday rankings will be keepers. My keepers are Jordan Howard (2nd round pick) and AJ Green (6th). My question is, do I grab a substandard RB in round 1 because when I pick next in round 3 there will be nothing there? Or do I just grab a stud WR to pair with Green and let the RB chips fall where they may in rounds 4 and 5?
Oriole8159 86 Posted August 28, 2017 100% take Evans. I promise you there will ample opportunity to acquire starting worthy RBs during the season. Just look at last year to see how many guys became starting worth at some point, Rob Kelley, Jacquizz Rodgers, Spencer Ware, Christine Michael, Jordan Howard, Jay Ajayi, Ty Montgomery, Bilal Powell, Tevin Coleman, Theo Riddick, just off the top of my head. Your likelihood of getting a WR like Mike Evans mid season though is much, much smaller.
